After downloading the latest release of Skinstudio (3.00.008) through SDC, I
cannot execute the app. anymore. I get the following message:

"This application has failed to start because rtl60.bpl was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

Well, re- installing doesn't fix the problem. So what to do?

Using XP Professional, latest servicepacks. Latest SDC build.

Jeroen

sorry, stupid question, but I have to ask...did you uninstall first?

No, I did not, I was absolutely not aware of the fact that I have to uninstall first. But if that solves the problem, I wil uninstall.
However, I have been installing Windowblinds over the older versions for ages without any problems.
I don't use skinstudio that much, but now I want to change a textcoloer in a skin, so I need it.

Sure this is the problem?

I never uninstall wb for an update or any other app for that matter. The only reason I suggested uninstalling for Skin Studio is that you are having a problem with it. *Sometimes* uninstalling and reinstalling fixes things, so I suggested it

Werewolf, you are a marvel in the dark (Aren't all werewolves?)
This is the second time you helped me out very fast! Thank you very much!

So your question wasn't stupid, maybe I was.

Stardock should mention though that we should uninstall before updating, which is, according to me, not a logical way to go.

Thanks Jeroen. I've never been called that before.

You really don't have to uninstall just for an update and I don't recommend that. I only recommend uninstalling as a measure to clean up a problem.
